SNAP LOCKDOWN
JULY 2021-Update
To all PALS Clients and Families PALS is committed to keeping you informed about our services and supports during the management of the Coronavirus (COVID – 19) pandemic. We are also committed to keeping our customers and staff safe during this period.
In light of the recent directives by the Victorian Government regarding the 5 day Snap Lockdown and in line with Chief Health Officers advice we have made the decision to cancel group programs between Thursday 15th July and re-open on Wednesday 21st July, pending any further restrictions being enforced.
This applies to the following locations:
1. – 24 O’Connor Street Numurkah
2. – 10 Dillon Street Cobram
3. – 20A Orr St Yarrawonga
From today 16th July, we will continue to offer essential 1:1 services and as of this afternoon we will be contacting you all individually via phone to understand what your support needs are for the immediate future. Typically, these services would be home based and not in the community however we can assist with essential shopping, medical appointments and the like.
PALS is not considering stopping any of the services for supported independent living and there are other essential services to some customers that will continue, including doing welfare checks and phone in’s for customers who live alone.
The other services of PALS which will be impacted are the Opportunity Shops which are closed from Thursday 15th July to the 20th July inclusive:
1. Broadway Street Cobram
2. Melville St Numurkah
Gorman House in Yarrawonga will continue to restrict access. If you have any concerns regarding future booking arrangements please call us on (03) 5862 2641 .
In the meantime if you are able, please follow the directions and information on COVID-19, issued by the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), which can be found here; www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/coronavirus.
